Websites and apps that improve themselves
· By Oniq
A website is the one part of a business that doesn't learn. A good salesperson learns which pitch works. An ad account learns which ad gets the click. The website says the same thing to every visitor until someone finds the time to redesign it, and most businesses never do.
It stays still because improving it takes three people: a designer to rethink the page, a developer to build it and someone to read the numbers and say whether it worked. Few businesses have all three to spare. So the site gets a redesign every few years and nothing in between, while the business, its customers and the way people find it keep changing.
A self-improving website closes that gap. It works in a loop. It learns the business and its customers from the site, its analytics and its ads. It builds new versions of a page. It shows them to real visitors and measures which bring more customers. It keeps the one that wins and starts on the next. The owner stays in charge: nothing goes live without their yes, and they can add their own ideas at any point.
This wasn't possible until recently. Each step needed a person. Now AI can read a page the way a visitor does, write and design new versions in the brand's own voice, build them as working pages and read the results. What's left for people is judgment, which is the part a business owner should keep.
There's a new kind of visitor too. People now send AI agents to shop and book for them, and agents read a site differently from people. A site that improves itself improves for them as well.
The same loop works for apps. An app's first screens, its pricing and the first thing a new user does can all improve the same way: try a better version, keep it if more people stay. We're starting with websites because every business has one and its results are easy to measure. Apps come next.
Today, Oniq does this for websites. Choose a page or the whole site. Oniq builds new versions, and you see each one next to your current page. The ones you approve go live within days, and Oniq keeps the ones that bring you more customers.
